Another question I have (maybe I should just add a post for questions rather than several posts) is charging the 144V bank using sun and wind. Obviously, the bank gets charged under sail as the prop free-spins. But, if the 144V bank is the main "house" bank, how do I charge it using solar and wind at anchor? Do I need 12 panels and 12 wind generators? that'd get noisy quick. Not to mention the wiring! At some point this increases the 144V wires running through the boat. Comments? |
